Hi, I'm Angela
I believe in a couple of things, really passionately. Firstly, I believe that every child deserves to have the best start in life, that everyone deserves to have a life they choose and that if we all slow down a little and focus on the important things, we will all be much better off. So, for the last 20 years as an Occupational Therapist, I have been on a quest to see how we can focus on what is important to us by understanding how we think, how we learn and how we engage with the world around us.
I work across sectors and industries as what unites all of us is our ongoing challenge with how we use our time and energy. My online programs, workshops, key notes, books and podcast offer guidance on how we can thrive in the age of distraction.
My work developing and implementing school based programs to streamline services between the health and education sectors have been used in Australia and Canada. These practices challenge the way we enhance the learning experience. I love a good challenge!
With a commitment to forging new and innovative paths I was the National Manager of Community Engagement with a Local Area Coordination service for the roll-out of engagement and capacity building programs for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and was CEO of the child safety organization Kidsafe (NT).
My work, no matter the workplace, I have always been focused on better understanding what is important to us by understanding how we think, how we learn and how we engage with the world around us. Thanks for being here and joining me on this quest.
