Hi, thanks for your interest in my work!

I'm Ange..

Speaker, Author, Advisor, Podcast Host, Occupational Therapist.

Technically my career started as an Occupational Therapist at the University of Newcastle, but really my life as a businesswoman started when I was 7 with my chocolate making and coat hanger design business. I realised during this time I wasn't the best cook or very crafty so I dedicated my youth to sport – hockey, to be specific. As a child I had my sights set on the Sydney Olympics. I was determined for this dream to come true. However, life had a different plan for me and after fracturing my skull during a game, my experiences of learning to talk again and needing to re-think my approach to life inspired me to change my path to occupational therapy. This unexpected life change propelled me into a career I feel was made for me.

As a qualified occupational therapist, I have helped thousands of people live their potential despite the challenges and difficulties they faced.

Since founding Educate Therapy Pty Ltd, a consulting practice working with across all sectors and industries sharing my tools and strategies on finding calm and managing distraction, I turned my hand to my love of writing and authored books on finding calm: 'The Power of Conscious Choice' and 'Switch Off' and the newly revised version, 'Switch Off and Find Calm'.

I have always loved working in media and have been fortunate to be asked for my opinion as an expert 'creator of calm’ by media outlets such as Channel 9, Today EXTRA, The Australian Financial Review, Good Health Magazine, Huffington Post, Mamamia, Radio 2UE and numerous parenting and lifestyle publications. My regular radio segment on the Luke and Susie Show is syndicated across Australia and I am the host of 'A Kid's Life' Podcast available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Google Play.

I am proud of the results I have been able to achieve when working as National Manager of Community Engagement for the roll-out of engagement and capacity building programs for the National Disability Insurance Scheme and as CEO of the national child safety organisation Kidsafe (NT).

With a desire to help people enjoy the best start in life, I have dedicated my adult life to being an occupational therapist and advising people on how to bring the energy and focus they need to all they do, despite any challenges that are thrown at them. My knack for creating success has allowed me to become the go-to person for industries including government, universities, hospitals, emergency services, health and wellbeing providers, banks, real estate institutes, not-for-profits and media outlets, and to fulfil roles such as CEO, keynote speaker, author, health and fitness instructor, trainer, motivator, mum and wife.

As you will see through my social media, and when meeting me, I fully embrace the limitless power of simplification and positive energy. Practising what I preach, I live on the beautiful coastline of Northern New South Wales with my husband and two gorgeous children and spend as much time as possible with my feet in the sand taking the time to look up and around, forever thankful.
